Social Media Intern
Temporary, Internship
Remote position

Applicants must be registered as a full-time student in the 2021-2022 school year, with the intention of returning to school in Fall 2022 and be between the ages of 15 and 30.

Summary:

La’ad Canada is a research and education focused non-profit Jewish advocacy organization that is looking for eager interns to support our advocacy and research initiatives during summer 2022. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about their work and would like to learn more about community advocacy. The goal of this program is to help develop your social media skills in a professional and exciting environment.

As an intern, you will be working closely with La’ad staff and volunteers who will provide you with real hands-on projects and daily tasks that use social media and online communications platforms to promote and manage the organization. La’ad Canada is dedicated to developing successful future leaders, and we strive to make this internship as educational as possible.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create and grow social media presence/profiles

• Moderate comments across social media profiles

• Utilize social media profiles to promote campaigns

• Maintain, post and, update social media and communications platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Mailchimp and others with appropriate and appealing content

• Assist with social media analytics and reporting

• Assist in loading/producing stories/creating social media graphics

• Help develop strategies for capturing target audience and growing our online presence

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education:

• Working knowledge of popular social media platforms from a brand perspective

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized with the ability to anticipate, prioritize and meet deadlines

• Proficient in graphic design using Canva or other related software

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program in marketing or related field of study

Knowledge of the Jewish community and/or community advocacy will be considered an asset.

Remuneration: This internship is part of the 2022 Canada Summer Jobs Internship Program and pays $15/hr, for 30/hrs a week over an 8 week period, ending no later than August 31st.

Research Assistant
Temporary, Internship
Remote position

• Conduct research on a variety of topics related to La’ad Canada’s core mandate and programs

• Compile data and statistics into easy to understand reports

• Access databases and other research catalogs to search for relevant information

• Prepare documents for publication and dissemination

• Liaise with stakeholders and the public to conduct research according to standardized research protocol.

• Maintain databases and document files

Qualifications and Education:

• Working knowledge of standardized research protocols

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly organized

• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

• Proficient in database management

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program in a related field

Knowledge of the Jewish community and/or community advocacy will be considered an asset.

Remuneration: This internship is part of the 2022 Canada Summer Jobs Internship Program and pays $15/hr, for 35/hrs a week over an 8 week period, ending no later than August 31st.
